Reported Crop Circles for the State of Michigan -

Escanaba, Delta County (July 24, 1965)

“Mrs. J.Z.” (actual name withheld) and her husband were awoken around 2 A.M. “by the most beautiful music” which "Mrs. J.Z." described as being “soft and sweet” and that it “seemed to be coming from everywhere”.

The couple got out of bed to check their TV and radios to make sure that nothing was on, including their car radio. Their house was in an isolated area, and not near the road, so the sound was determined not to be coming from any neighbor's house. They determined the sound to be coming from about 10 feet or so outside their bedroom window, where they then saw a flash of light, and heard a sound “like a whole swarm of honey-bees just taking off”, and the music ended.

The next morning, the couple checked behind their house and discovered a large circle where the “grass was well trampled down, as though by many heavy footsteps”. In the center of the large circle, there was a 12’ diameter circle of burnt brown grass.

Eyewitness report only.
